Lord and Lady of Duality are a symbol of the Universe. They are represented as an old couple because in Aztec culture they believe that elders were wise. She is predicting the future and He is self sacrificing for the good of the universe. The old couple is within a circle that represents a womb which is giving birth to everything that exists.
